Vaccine after-effects have become a hot topic of public concern: lung nodules, leukemia, hives, diabetes, cancer, weakened immunity, hair loss, cerebral thrombosis, heart attacks, sudden death... yet the official media has not uttered a single word about any of it, leaving ordinary people to bear the consequences entirely on their own.
People are now reflecting comprehensively on every aspect of the vaccination campaign, hoping to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. Below is a brief summary of several important points people have raised.
I. Information Asymmetry
"Every medicine carries some toxicity" is common wisdom. Vaccines, which act directly on the human immune system, demand even higher standards of safety and efficacy than ordinary medications.
1. Insufficient Understanding of Vaccines
Most people, in truth, don't really understand vaccines at all. Allergic reactions and abnormal immune responses caused by vaccines are common occurrences -- for example, some people are allergic to substances such as polyethylene glycol, and hives are linked to the immune reactions vaccines can trigger.
Experts comparing several different vaccine technology platforms (inactivated vaccines, live attenuated vaccines, and mRNA vaccines) note that the advantage of inactivated vaccines lies in their low cost and simple production process -- but they hold no advantage when it comes to efficacy or safety.
With an inactivated vaccine, what is injected into the body is a complete but killed copy of the virus; once the body produces the corresponding antibodies, it gains immunity to that virus. But there have been cases where a vaccine recipient, who did not previously carry a particular virus, ended up with it after vaccination -- in extremely rare circumstances, the "killed" virus can regain its virulence and cause harm. This kind of thing has occurred before with polio vaccination.
Although an inactivated vaccine has undergone an inactivation process, it is, after all, still a special kind of protein, and may still contain certain antigenic substances that provoke some degree of stimulation in the body -- and may still carry a faint degree of pathogenicity as well.
The development of inactivated vaccines often requires adding adjuvants to boost the vaccine's immunogenicity, but adjuvants may carry potential toxic side effects of their own.
Moreover, as a virus continually mutates, the effectiveness of an inactivated vaccine against it will keep declining.
mRNA vaccines, as the most cutting-edge vaccine technology, do not contain a complete virus the way traditional vaccines do, so there is no risk of infection from them, and they require no adjuvant. The industry widely acknowledges that mRNA technology represents a generational leap over traditional vaccines. But it is difficult and technically demanding to develop, and China's foundational research in this area remains immature. What China mainly used this time around was the inactivated vaccine.
2. The Development Time for Domestic Vaccines Was Far Too Short
The birth of a vaccine, from research and development to market approval, generally takes about ten years, encompassing preclinical research, three phases of clinical trials, regulatory approval, and Phase IV post-market surveillance -- with every single stage requiring rigorous verification of safety and efficacy. Some vaccines have taken even longer: the chickenpox vaccine took 28 years; the meningitis and tetanus vaccines each took 40 years; and the smallpox and cholera vaccines took roughly 80 years.
Yang Xiaoming, hailed by the CCP as the "father of China's COVID-19 vaccine," said his team developed the COVID-19 vaccine in just 98 days -- and that from project approval to market launch took only a little over 330 days. Who would dare guarantee the safety of a vaccine produced in such haste? Isn't this simply treating the public as laboratory mice?
3. Concerns About the Quality of Domestic Vaccines
China has already been rocked by numerous vaccine scandals: the 2010 Shanxi tainted-vaccine scandal; the 2013 case in southern China in which the hepatitis B vaccine caused infant deaths; the 2016 Shandong problem-vaccine scandal; and the 2018 Changchun Changsheng tainted-vaccine scandal in Jilin.
Media outlets also exposed how, in 2017, Sinovac secured vaccine approvals through bribery, and bribed medical staff to boost sales through their channels.
It was precisely because of this information asymmetry that many people casually agreed to receive domestic vaccines.
II. Led Astray by the Media and by Experts
Looking back now at the deceptive rhetoric of the time: "The current scientific consensus is that COVID-19 vaccines effectively reduce the risk of severe illness and death." According to official figures, China's annual death toll in recent years has hovered around 10 million. During the three years of the pandemic, the death toll was clearly several times higher than in a normal year -- likely tens of millions more deaths than usual! This is the real-world effect of the domestic vaccine.
Exploiting patriotic sentiment to deceive Chinese people is a common tactic. Back when reporters first exposed the Sanlu tainted milk powder scandal, people immediately appeared holding signs reading: "If you don't drink Chinese milk, are you even Chinese?" -- openly defending the poisoned milk powder. What has become of the 300,000 babies left with kidney stones because of that tainted formula? No one pays any attention to that anymore.
During the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, this same kind of rhetoric was everywhere too: "This vaccine has been tested by scientists -- if we don't trust our own country, who can we trust?" Domestic vaccines were praised as wonderful in every way, while American vaccines were said to be riddled with problems...
One article circulating online was titled "Sinovac's Vaccine, Which Rakes in a Hundred Billion Yuan a Year: A Money-Printing Machine Controlled by Foreign Capital." Blaming foreign forces whenever something goes wrong is yet another common CCP tactic.
Figures like Li Lanjuan told the public how good vaccination was; figures like Yu Wenming, Zhong Nanshan, and Jia Zhenhua told the public how good the herbal remedy "Lianhua Qingwen" was. Now people realize they were deceived by all of them.
III. All-Around Pressure from the CCP
At the time, the vaccination campaign truly amounted to an all-around "siege": the Health Commission "recommended" getting vaccinated, the media egged everyone on to get vaccinated, and experts urged people to get vaccinated; neighborhood grid workers harassed people door to door, and community staff conducted checks all day long.
If you didn't get vaccinated, your company pressured you, your residential compound pressured you, your own family pressured you; there were threats to your livelihood, with workplaces refusing to let unvaccinated employees come to work; there was emotional blackmail through family ties, with students barred from school and parents barred from picking up or dropping off their children. Shopping malls, banks, and other venues refused entry, and public transportation was off-limits... ordinary people felt there was nowhere left to run.
IV. Where Did Our Capacity for Independent Thought Go?
As the ancients wisely said: when something happens that defies normal patterns, there is always a demon behind it.
The media promoted vaccination as free; in some places, vans even picked people up and dropped them off for their vaccinations; some places gave out eggs, and later on, even cash -- 200 yuan or more.
On the surface, the CCP called it "voluntary vaccination," but in reality it was an all-around campaign to force people to get vaccinated, with pressure coming from every direction -- workplaces, communities, everywhere. Most infuriating of all, everyone had to sign a form at the time of vaccination stating that it was voluntary, and that they themselves would bear responsibility if anything went wrong. Isn't that itself a trap? Have you ever seen something given to you for "free" that was also mandatory? At the time, there were even many people who felt proud of having received four doses of the Sinovac vaccine!
Now that Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccine has been discontinued, internet users have discovered something bizarre: vaccination records have simply vanished.
Many people now regret their choice, blaming only their own confusion at the time for failing to see through such a simple ploy, for trusting the Communist Party too readily. But the consequences of that misplaced trust have been severe. As the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party puts it plainly: "Whoever trusts the Communist Party on any given matter will end up paying for it with their own life on that very matter." V. Who Exactly Has Been Responsible for Our Lives and Health?
Let us briefly list a few of the relevant public figures:
Yu Wenming -- former director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, originally a journalist by trade. He fell from power in June 2025 on suspicion of serious violations of duty.
Ye Caide -- originally a community traditional Chinese medicine masseur, he was promoted by Yu Wenming to the status of a national-level epidemic-prevention expert. Residents of Shanghai still remember his bizarre "iron cage epidemic prevention" antics.
Jia Zhenhua -- president of Yiling Hospital, affiliated with Hebei Medical University, and son-in-law of Wu Yiling, founder of Yiling Pharmaceutical (the manufacturer of "Lianhua Qingwen"); one of the leading promoters hyping up "Lianhua Qingwen."
Tang Zhihong -- director of the Huanggang Municipal Health Commission, who, when questioned by the media during the 2020 epidemic-response period in Huanggang, "knew nothing about anything" when asked. She now serves as director of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Huanggang Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee.
Yu Luming -- former director of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, arrested in 2022. It is widely reported online that he accepted 270 million yuan in bribes from Sinovac.
Yin Hongzhang -- head of the Biological Products Division at the National Medical Products Administration. Media reports exposed that Beijing Sinovac bribed him with 550,000 yuan in 2014.
Li Lanjuan -- originally a "barefoot doctor"; she now co-runs Shulan Hospital together with her husband Zheng Shusen (an expert in organ transplantation linked to live organ harvesting), and is worth several billion yuan.
Yang Xiaoming -- "the father of China's COVID-19 vaccine," fell from power in 2024.
Sun Xianze -- former director of the National Food Safety Coordination Department. After being disciplined over the Sanlu tainted milk powder scandal, he was promoted to chief drug safety supervisor -- only for a tainted vaccine scandal to break out again during his tenure in 2018. The very same official was in charge for both incidents!
VI. The Clear-Eyed Warriors
It is reported that across all of China, about 5.6 million people remained unvaccinated, of whom more than 600,000 were unable to be vaccinated due to illness, while more than 5 million actively refused vaccination of their own accord. People praise these more than 5 million as truly clear-headed individuals -- possessing intelligence, courage, and unshakable willpower, since they had to withstand enormous pressure from every direction: from their workplaces, their communities, their own families, as well as all manner of social condemnation, accused of "not cooperating with the government," being "unpatriotic," and so on. How difficult their lives and work must have been -- yet they made it through those three years. "The truth requires perseverance" -- indeed, it does.
VII. Why Did We Help a Tyrant Do Evil?
After World War II, people reflected: how many opponents could Hitler alone have physically defeated? Even ten would have been difficult. And yet the war he unleashed caused the deaths of more than 50 million people. Why? Because layer upon layer of accomplices committed evil together -- vast numbers of media propagandists helped brainwash the public, officials at every level applied coercion, the Gestapo maintained surveillance, and a great mass of fanatically brainwashed citizens lent their support.
Every one of the CCP's political campaigns has come about the very same way, and this three-year pandemic drama played out no differently. With a single order from the CCP, the "red armbands," the "big whites" (hazmat-suited enforcers), neighborhood grid workers, police, officials, and property management staff... every one of them strutted about with full authority; lockdowns, quarantines, mandatory COVID testing, vaccination campaigns... every single one became a painful memory for the Chinese people. No one expected that, in the end, everyone would become a victim.
Back then, figures in Germany such as Erwin von Witzleben, Claus von Stauffenberg, and Oskar Schindler all bravely stood up to resist Hitler and the Nazi Party. If the participants in China's successive political campaigns had likewise been able to discern right from wrong and choose justice, as these men did, what might things look like today?
We cannot afford to serve as accomplices any longer -- doing so harms others just as surely as it harms ourselves.
VIII. "Falun Dafa Is Good" After All!
Many people have noticed that, throughout the pandemic, Falun Gong practitioners generally did not contract the virus, and even those who did recovered quickly. Even more remarkable, many people who sincerely and reverently recited the nine words "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" experienced the same thing. What could be the reason for this?
Let us set aside the deeper principles and simply speak of the most surface-level logic. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine contains a classic line: "When righteous energy dwells within, evil cannot invade." At a time when kind-hearted Dafa practitioners have suffered wholly unjust persecution, the fact that you can still recognize and affirm Dafa's principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance shows that you carry righteous energy within yourself. Human beings are naturally endowed by Heaven with their own immunity, and reinforced by this righteous energy, the body can naturally resist the invasion of plagues and other such evil forces.
Fellow countrymen, please do not listen only to the CCP's lies -- you should take the time to learn about Falun Gong for yourself, before making any judgment or choice.
Ever since SARS in 2003, the world seems to have entered a mode of recurring epidemics -- outbreak after outbreak in the years since: avian flu, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, norovirus, dengue fever, scarlet fever, chikungunya, and more.
